The knurled geometry allows for finger-tightening of the Swiveljet coolant line into position. The knurled finish provides an easy-to-grip surface to allow an operator to grip the line and tighten the fittings. This style is popular for frequently adjusted installations and for the SW2 lines, since they are smaller in diameter and easier to tighten with only finger pressure.
